Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you?
Let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom
~James 3:13, KJV ~
There are two different ways we acquire wisdom. The first is gaining worldly knowledge, understanding, and experience. The second is gained through personal revelation from our Sovereign Heavenly Father. We either are engaged in growing in worldly wisdom or moving toward gaining greater understanding of Godly Wisdom.
Godly wisdom is the treasure of the Kingdom of Heaven we ought to pursue. It is through Godly wisdom we are able to live according to His Word and Divine Will. Godly wisdom endows us with the ability to learn and grow spiritually in our Christian Lives. It is how we live out a righteous life that is pleasing unto God.
Through personal prayer, study, and meditation on God’s word do we find His wisdom and insights. Cultivating relationship with men of integrity, valor, and living a disciplined spiritual life is another means whereby we grow in Godly Wisdom.
Once we attain this Godly wisdom, we are required to live it out daily. As we do, we become a blessing to our family, to our friends, to our faith-based community, and within our workplace and community.
~ Today’s Prayer and Meditation ~
Heavenly Father, I come to you to gain greater insight and wisdom to live a life that is righteous before thee. I seek after the eternal wisdom and perspective you have in order to gain greater understanding in facing my challenges. The life I live is guided by your divine counsel and personal revelation. Let my life be a reflection of your love and grace as I gain wisdom to grow and mature spiritually. Keep me mindful of how to bless others through mercy and grace. Let thy will be done in accordance to your good will and pleasure. In Jesus Name, Amen.
